“We know that behind every image revealed there is another image more faithful to reality, and in the back of that image there is another, and yet another behind the last one, and so on, up to the true image of that absolute, mysterious reality that no one will ever see.” - Michelangelo Antonioni, “Beyond the Clouds” (1995) In each photograph I make, it is my goal to show what I see and leave the interpretation to the viewer.…I try to capture my view of the world through simple objects and everyday things, so I am never at a loss for subject matter. A fork and spoon, bowls of fruit, side streets through town, landscapes, and even people going through their lives are all equally fascinating. From photographs of a coffee cup to a grand vista the world is full of excitement and wonder and my lifelong goal has been to find the beauty in the simplest of things. I have always been influenced by the works of Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunnigham, and, 10 years ago I discovered the world of Luigi Bussolati. “It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
